The Take-Home Whitening Process

Most teeth whitening methods utilize the same ingredients. Hydrogen peroxide concentrate is effective, yet often causes sensitivity. Carbamide peroxide is gentler, making it preferable for long-term treatments. This is the bleaching agent used in our take-home whitening kits.

Our whitening kits are made to gently and effectively whiten teeth.  We use potassium nitrate, the ingredient found in sensitivity relief toothpastes, to bolster the health of teeth as they whiten.

Teeth are porous, and can absorb small particles that come from the food and beverage items you consume. Stains occur over time as debris from pigmented foods and liquids accumulate in the enamel.

Coffee, tea, red wine and red pasta sauce are highly pigmented and are known to stain heavily over time. Smoking or chewing tobacco causes even worse staining, and will leave teeth severely yellowed.

Brushing your teeth reduces surface stains, and regular cleanings provide a more thorough clean. However, neither of these methods penetrate to the deeper layers of the enamel, where stains can linger.
